We can provide teams and individual Paramedic coverage. We are equipped and able to provide you with immediate care, treatment and facilitation of transport to the most appropriate destination.
Our Paramedics are all registered with AHPRA and have experience ranging up to Intensive/Critical Care Paramedic level. With an emphasis on assessment, diagnosis and treatment we treat patients with low acuity injuries and complaints across the spectrum to patients involved in major trauma.
By utilising our on call Medical Officers we are able to mitigate risk, appropriately refer and determine the best course of treatment and disposition for patients. Our Paramedics use equipment which enables us to provide cardiac, respiratory, neurological, GIT and trauma assessment and care. Paramedics are kept up to date and current with ongoing education and access to resources. Our currencies include basic life support, advanced life support and first aid.
Our fields of speciality include:
• Workplace medical coverage including access to on call Medical Officers and referral to workplace injury allied health specialists
• Sporting event coverage
• Medical coverage for events/venues and clubs
Positive Health recognises that not all patients require care and treatment in an Emergency Department. A proportion of workplace complaints and injuries are best treated in primary health care settings other than in Emergency. Our staff are able to use advanced assessment skills and utilise relevant referral pathways to get patients the 'The Most Appropriate Care in the Best Place at the Best Time'.
Our Paramedics have 24/7 access to a Medical Officer who is able to review cases and make referrals. Cases include:
• Non traumatic back pain
• Non serious viral infection
• Asthma
• Non serious trauma including sprains, strains and soft tissue injury
• Low acuity Mental health issues
• Chronic pain
